Got together with B last night for a lovely dinner at Maggiano's in Bellevue. We then went to see "The Wrestler." What a brilliant film. Mickey Roarke gives an astonishing performance. Roger Ebert thinks it may get Roarke an Oscar; I second that assertion. Highly recommended, though not for the faint of heart. The violence is pretty visceral, ( Read more... )

So, I mentioned yesterday morning that I had an appointment with a new agency. I went. At 10:15 AM. The snow poured out of the sky. The alley and two streets I had to drive before getting to the main road were unplowed and nearly undisturbed. The first main arterial wasn't bad, mostly sandy-slushy and bumpy.
